Bio

For over two decades, I have engaged in clinical practice, research, and teaching within the realms of psychiatry and psychotherapy. My approach encompasses a holistic perspective, considering the entirety of the human experience, including the body, mind, emotions, and thoughts. This viewpoint is informed by insights from social and applied neuroscience, with a specific focus on recent advancements in the theory and phenomenology of consciousness across its various states and levels.

As a dedicated member and representative of the IASD (International Association for the Study of Dreams) based in Berkeley, California, I’ve been actively involved in dream research for many years. This exploration serves as a valuable tool for assessment and diagnosis, allowing for a more profound and precise understanding of patients. Through this, I integrate different facets of their personality and self, addressing both explicit and implicit layers of memory.

In my role as the founder of the IRDAP Institute in the early 2000s, dedicated to researching and treating anxiety and panic disorders, I’ve developed a specific intervention model. This model seamlessly integrates psychotherapeutic methods and techniques from various orientations, as well as both conventional and unconventional pharmacological therapies, including the use of nutraceuticals. She is also a qualified medical herbalist, integrating evidence-based herbal medicine alongside conventional treatments. In cases where necessary, traditional pharmacotherapy is employed, always adhering to medical guidelines and best practices.
